Designer Kate Gagnon Osborn created this hat with herself in mind. The hat is casual, wearable, and striped to add a little extra fun.
Finished Size: 18" brim circumference, unstretched, and 20" body circumference 
Yarn: The Fibre Company Acadia (60% merino, 20% alpaca, 20% silk; 149 yd [136 m]/50 g): • blue heron (MC), 1 skein • summersweet (CC), 1 skein. Yarn distributed by Kelbourne Woolens 
Yarn Weight: #3 - Light 
Needles: Size 4 (3.5 mm): 16" circular (cir) needle and set of double-pointed needles (dpn), Size 5 (3.75 mm): 16" cir needle and set of dpn 
Notions: Yarn needle, Markers (m), Three 3⁄8" buttons, Waste yarn 
Gauge: 22 sts and 28 rnds = 4" in knit and purl jogless stripes on larger needles; 22 sts and 42 rows = 4" in garter st on smaller needles
