Excellent! Review by Enchanted Knitter

I absolutely love the patterns in Enchanted Knits. However you feel about the photos or modeling, it would be difficult to deny that the magazine is full of gorgeous designs. Even though all of the patterns fit into the enchanted fairy tale theme, not a single one would look out of place on the street for everyday wear.

Many Enchanted Christmas Gifts Review by Jeanie

I started the Rose Red and Snow White cowls as soon as I bought the book. I plan to make the Undine Shawlette, Rumplestiltskin's Wrap, Merlin's Sweater and other patterns. I just don't like the extraneous touches that, to me, make the patterns look a bit foolish. I really don't like it when models make up or their accessories are meant to make them look like animals. But I do like the patterns. I think they speak for themselves, the garments are lovely, challenging in some, simple and lovely other designs.

I get that the whole idea is enchantment but I would rather see the real animals instead of bizarre make up. There was an issue of Knitscene that had antlers on models and it just seemed over the top. The patterns there are lovely too. And I did buy the magazine anyway but if the patterns could be modeled a little less cartoon-ized by weird make up or accessories, I would be happier.
just my 2cents.

Beautiful Patterns! Review by Jen

I'm not sure why someone would review this and give it a bad rating without actually owning a copy... I have a copy, and I love it!

I was so excited to pick up my copy of Enchanted Knits, and I wasn't disappointed! The patterns are beautiful. There is a nice mix of garments and accessories, and even designs for your "Prince Charming." I can see myself making almost every design in the magazine, either for myself or as gifts. The designs have a definite fairy tale inspired look without being corny. All of the patterns are very wearable.

Definitely a worthwhile purchase, with the quality and stylish-yet-timeless designs you'd expect from Interweave!

Can't view it Review by Cosmo

Very hard to rate something when you actually can't look at the book. I can see lots of poor quality resolution pictures that don't show any detail - always a problem. I can see lots of scarves, gloves, mittens etc. Just how many of these things can you wear in one sitting, seems to be the trend these days. A few well designed and different garments would be real useful - you can get this type of stuff anywhere.

Hence I stopped subscribing to your mags for this reason. No creativity in your designs.
