About the Author

Q: What software do I need to view this EntreKnits eMag?
Spacer 15x15 pixels

A: EntreKnits requires a simple software application called Adobe® Air® that’s easy to use and can be installed on your computer for free. EntreKnits includes articles, videos, galleries, hyperlinks to inspiring and informative websites, and so much more. With just the click of your mouse, you can open and play videos, view slideshows, and easily navigate through the eMag.

Please read the system requirements and installation guide below

Q: How is EntreKnits different then the digital edition of Interweave Knits Magazine?

Spacer 15x15 pixels
A: EntreKnits is an entirely unique product, separate from Interweave Knits and Knitscene magazines. This eMag focuses solely on modular, mitered, quilt-inspired, and entrelac knitting. Unlike digital editions of Interweave Knits and Knitscene magazines, which are exact replications of the print editions, EntreKnits was developed as a digital product so it can capitalize on all the benefits of digital media capabilities—including videos, slideshows, zoom options that enable you to see close-ups of knitted socks, patterns that can be downloaded and printed, abilities to hyperlink to websites, and more.

Q: Will EntreKnits be available as a print magazine?
Spacer 15x15 pixels

A: EntreKnits was built as a digital product, therefore it will not be printed as a traditional magazine. However, we hope you take advantage of the many printable materials included in EntreKnits.

Q: Is EntreKnits available as a subscription?
Spacer 15x15 pixels

A: EntreKnits is considered a special digital publication and is not available for a subscription. Each EntreKnits eMag is a single issue and available as a single download.

Q: Does EntreKnits mean that Interweave Knits or Knitscene magazines will stop printing?
Spacer 15x15 pixels

A: Absolutely not! Interweave Knits and Knitscene print and digital magazines are entirely separate offerings to the knitting craft world. Interweave Knits is still our flagship publication and we have exciting issues of this and other knitting magazines to come!

entreKnits Review by Jean Knapp

I have only used this product once because my computer died and have not reinstalled because I am waiting until my new computer arrives. But what I did use was very helpful and I look forward to being able to use it more. I have only been able to get my e-mails on another computer.

entreKNITS Review by stefani koorhan

I was very pleased with the emag in general. My only concern is it's inability to print the pictures along with the pattern downloads. I don't know if there is any way to correct this but I can live with it for now. I look forward to more emags from interweave knits.

Fun way to do a magazine! Review by Kathy Kemp

It took a little time to wander around and see how the navigation worked, but what really sold me is being able to go directly from a featured pattern to its page on the web instead of dog-earing a physical page and hoping I remembered to go check it out later. Would love to see something like this as a phone app, so I can just read the patterns in my lap in my knitting chair!
