Mother's Day was approaching, and I wanted to make my mom something very special. I had just paged through an old family photo album, so I was feeling nostalgic. What if I made my mom a bracelet of tiny linked frames, each one with a picture of a female family member-my mother, her maternal grandmother, her mother, and her two daughters (my sister, Heather, and myself)?

To make the idea a reality, I bought some bezel links into which I placed small pictures and Amazing Glaze, a fabulous embossing powder that melts into a glass-like finish when heated in any oven or toaster oven. I then linked the bezels with jump rings, which I embellished with crystal, pearl, and fine silver dangles.

Materials: Crystal rondelles, rice pearls, conical charms, bezel links, box clasp, jump rings, head pins, photo paper, embossing powder, nontoxic craft glue. See project for complete list.

Tools Needed: Computer, printer, scissors, toothpick, plastic drinking straw, sheet of scrap paper (for working surface), small pan or tray lined with aluminum foil, soft cloth, flat-nose pliers, round-nose pliers, wire cutters.

Techniques Used: Wireworking; opening and closing jump rings

Finished Size: 7" (18 cm)
