Materials

Drop cloth (to cover work surface when screen printing)
Newspaper (to cover the printing area)
Paper towels
Fabric to be screen printed (can be solid, hand-dyed, previously printed, etc.)
Thermofax® screens
Masking tape
Fabric paints
Plastic spoons
Squeegee, or an old credit card, or a plastic scraper
Sink for washing out screens, or a dishpan filled with soapy water
Rotary cutting supplies (mat, cutter, ruler)
2 1/2"-wide strips cut from hand-printed fabrics, hand-dyed fabrics, and/or commercial fabrics (You can also work with precut strips such as Jelly Rolls and Tonga Treats.)
Iron
Sewing machine
Design wall (To make one, cover a piece of foam core or pink insulation board with batting.)
Pre-sewn strip sets
