Joanna loves creating quilts with circles so she decided to adapt the traditional Dresden Plate pattern to create a modern and fresh quilt using contemporary fabrics-aqua, teal, and white for the gears and black-and-white prints for the background. This quilt called "Gearing Up" won second place in the Salt Lake Modern Quilt Guild's EZ Dresden Challenge last fall !
