    Details
"If there ever was a book subtly designed to seduce readers into a jewelry-making career, British artist Young's is it. And if slipcased with her first book, The Workbench Guide to Jewelry Techniques (2010), it would be half of an excellent map to the workings and how-to's of the business...sparkling, and with substance." - Barbara Jacobs, Booklist

"I was very surprised at the amount of information covered for the size of the book.  It really is packed with information! And there are all kinds of gorgeous jewelry pieces shown through, whether as examples of the projects in the book or as inspirational pieces or variations on techniques used." - Tammy Powley, About.com Guide to Jewelry Making

"If you're a gem geek like me, or if you just appreciate the interest and pretty pops of color and/or texture that gemstones can add to your jewelry designs, you'll enjoy Anastasia Young's new book, "Gemstone Settings"." - Tammy Jones, editor, JewelryMakingDaily.com

"A great how-to guide for adding a variety of stones to your jewelry work — in everything from metal clay, traditional metals, resin, and even mixed media jewelry creations." - Stacie Hooder, CraftGossip.com

“Looking for some new ways to use gemstones in your jewelry-making projects? On my wish list from the moment I read it at the library Review by Judy
    Rating

I found this book at my local library and checked it out on a whim as my metal working skills are in the beginning stages. WOW! The instructions were so clear and there were so many techniques that I felt I could start many of the projects even with my beginner-level metalworking skills. I am so excited that this book is now part of my jewelry library!

    Amazing Content! Review by Marnie

A lot of bang for your buck! The topic coverage is amazing the details and illustrations seal the deal. Everything from wire wrapped stones to PMC and Pave settings. Certainly you need a little background to use this book - it is not intended as step by step for a rank beginner it is however very well detailed step by step for anyone with even rudimentary grasp of techniques. Well worth the purchase price!

This is a book I shall need as long as I keep working with metal and stones. Above all, I'd like to draw attention to the photographs, very clear and instructional. If you handle stones and/or pearls at all, you simply need this book.

A Must Have reference book Review by Helena Lekan

This book is both informative and inspirational. Techniques are described well in step by step instructions. It is a wonderful reference volume that includes gemstone setting instructions for various forms of metalsmithing, precious metal clay, pearls, and gemstone beads including stringing and wire wrapping. Every time I open up this book I discover something I had missed before.
