Details
FABRIC
— Skirt: 1 yd of 45" fabric, all sizes
— Patchwork Skirt: Instead of the above yardage, make the fabric of fifty-six 51⁄2" squares, stitched together in 1⁄4" seams with serged or overcast edges. For all sizes, piece four rows of seven squares for both the skirt front and the skirt back. Then cut each piece to the measurements for the sizes given in the cutting directions. Press the seams to opposite sides for each row. NOTE: The waistband for the Patchwork Skirt is not pieced. Waistband fabric piece is 3" × 12".
— Apron: 3⁄8 yd of 45" fabric, all sizes
— Binding: 1⁄2 yd contrasting 45" fabric, all sizes (or 51⁄2 yd of purchased double-fold binding)
— Pocket Skirt: Instead of the above binding fabric, use 1⁄2 yd each of two fabrics for the binding (one fabric for apron and bows, one fabric for hem and pockets).
