Lace builds concentrically down from the top of this tam then transitions into ribbing. This hat is made in a softly spun merino-alpaca blend for the perfect combination of drape, body, and warmth.

Finished Size: 17¾ " head circumference at brim (unstretched) and 11½ " diameter at widest point. 
Yarn: Pico Accuardi Dyeworks Naturally Dyed Soft Touch (50% merino wool, 50% alpaca; 131 yd [120 m]/100 g): Charlotte’s eyes, 2 skeins. 
Yarn Weight: #3 - Light 
Needles: Size 7 (4.5 mm): 16" circular (cir) and set of 5 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge. 
Notions: Dinner plate or pie plate for blocking; tapestry needle.
Gauge: 18 sts and 24 rows = 4" in St st.
