Description

Several years ago, I designed a large plaid floor pillow with a mesh background and knitted I-cord "ribbons" woven through it, as a special gift. The Heidi scarf is a continuation of that technique of "woven" crochet. Here, I shaped the mesh "canvas" to duplicate the shape created when the crocheted ribbons are not only woven but also crossed over each other like a knitted cable. By alternating the crossing of colors, the finished scarf appears cabled.
