Smocking was very popular in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and was used on both garments and accessories. This scarf has a decorative smocking detail at each border and in the center to create a pretty gathered detail.


FABRIC
— For a continuous scarf with no
seams: 2 yd cotton voile, 40" wide
(enough for two scarves)
— For a single scarf with a center
seam: 1 yd cotton voile, 40" wide
