Decorative; "expected"... nothing real different. Review by Marla B
Rating

I found this magazine to be about creating pretties more than about expression through / with paper. That was disappointing. I took a gamble, thinking "There are SO MANY mags out now on crafty / scrapbook / decorations, etc., that certainly this was a cut above (argh...bad pun) and more on the artistic expression side - it does happen once and a while. There was no way to see that online. Since no "look inside", first glance, or even contents pages were available on the CPS site (or maybe I just did not find them), I took a digital download chance, and was disappointed ESPECIALLY considering -$15.00. Oh well. FAIL! "Pretty"'mag...just not for me.

I LOVED it and would love it more if it was a regular subscription Review by Patricia

I found it refreshing and uncomplicated. I found it by accident and was too excited to get it home and start making things. I would purchase it again.

Excited about this premiere issue Review by Laura

I love working with paper and was excited by the premiere issue of I Heart Paper. I have not had the opportunity to read it from cover to cover as a co-worker shared it with me but even at a glance I can see that it is full of beautifully photographed projects that I actually want to try.

I look forward to purchasing my own copy of I Heart Paper as I am already a big fan of Pages.

Inspiring! Review by Melinda

I love this premiere issue and found several projects that caught my eye as something to try. In fact, I brought this in to work to share with a colleague with more experience with paper projects, and she was excited, too!

I will agree that the "summary" pages for some sections were a redundant given they reused the same pages showing up later. That's why I only gave it 4 stars.

But that doesn't stop me from wanting more of this magazine!

More "pretty" than "practical" Review by Debbie

I purchased the digital version of this and am sad to say, was disappointed. I had the same level of expectation for this as I have of my admiration for PAGES but feel greatly let down. For me there was a lot of wasted space and a fair percentage of pages taken to promoting "own" publications. Fundamentally aimed at the quickie project and lacking any inspiring ideas .... I doubt I will open the download again. Would have to see all the content in the future before I would buy again. What happened Interweave? CPS and PAGES are the best .... not this. I expected much more.

I HEART PAPER Review by Claudia

Very disappointed in this publication. So sorry I spent that much money on something that did not inspire me. It left me cold and wanting. As a big fan of CPS, I embrace each new issue discovering new, fresh and inspiring ideas. Not so with this magazine.

Nice Projects...but Review by Jocelyn
Rating

There were several nice projects that appealed to me. A couple of which I will actually try. But I found the format redundant at times. I thought it was unnecessary to take up 2 or more pages showing the project pieces in a formal display setting only to be repeated on the next page with the instructions. I also found the instructions were lacking any real help visually for most of the projects. Cost too expensive for what the book offers in that regard. I would not purchase again unless there several projects that interested me in the issue.
