Description

Remember the classic Mondrian Dress designed by Yves Saint Laurent in the 1960s? Here it is transformed into a child’s tunic, and the original primary colors toned down one step to bright pastels. The front-loop-only single crochet keeps the fabric light, while providing coverage.

Details

Finished Size 22 (24, 26, 27 1⁄2)" bust circumference and 16 1⁄4 (19 3⁄4, 22 1⁄2, 24 3⁄4)" long to fit a child 2 (4, 6, 8) years old. Garment shown measures 22".
Yarn Blue Moon Fiber Arts Sock Candy (96% cotton, 4% elite; 200 yd [183 m]/2 oz [57 g]): oats (A), 1 (2, 2, 2) skeins; chocolate (B), 1 (1, 2, 2) skeins; fuchsia (C), chamois (D), and dusty blue (E), 1 (1, 1, 1, 1) skein each.
Yarn Weight #3 - Medium
Hook Size E/4 (3.5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions Yarn needle.
Gauge 21 sts and 19 rows = 4" in sc flo.
