Inspiration: Knit and Purl, stitched in combination, can be configured into patterns and constructed into all kinds of fabrics. Texture is the inspiration for this edition. For more than thirty years, The Harmony Guides have been a fountain of knitting knowledge and an authority on stitches. I've found them indispensable over the years, often turning to them to solve technical problems and to generate new ideas.
When I was asked to be involved with the makeover of The Harmony Guides just last year, I jumped at the chance to work with one of knitting's leading brands. After all, it was an opportunity to contribute as a designer, to add a few new stitches, and to edit the books through and through. The editors, designers, and I were thrilled to inject some new life to a beloved treasure. The Harmony Guides would be in the spotlight once again.
The new Harmony Guides is a stitch-driven series. Each volume brims with 250 stitches to continually inspire and constantly challenge the knitter. I like to keep things simple, so this new collection is your quintessential guide to browse through or dip in and out of, and always there for you when you need it! I also couldn't resist scooping up old favorites - tried, tested, and trusted stitches - as well as adding a few new ones to keep you inspired. After all, inspiration is the key to great design.
