Fabulous Resource for Knitted Lace Review by Aimee Shelton

I've long admired Estonian lace, but was too intimidated to give it a try. Seeing Interweave offered this book with an accompanying DVD, I ordered it at once. I am so glad I did - I am a visual learner, & Nancy Bush is a fabulous teacher! Not only does Nancy explain the history of Estonian lace, but she also clearly explains and demonstrates the techniques involved in creating these beautiful pieces. The patterns are clearly written & well-charted. The photography is beautiful. Needless to say, I am now half-way through a scarf version of Maikell & have used the techniques, edgings & motifs in a number of other projects.
