Mercedes Tarasovich-Clark’s background in fiber arts began as a child, sewing and crafting, and grew into a pursuit of a degree in fiber arts from the Savannah College of Art and Design (BFA Fibers, 1999). Her freelance knitwear designs can be seen in publications such as Interweave Knits magazine & Lace Style, as well as work for major yarn companies and her own self-published patterns. She’s taught at retreats, guild workshops, and at classes at her own brick and mortar yarn shop, for the last ten years. As the hand-dyer behind Kitchen Sink Dyeworks, she uses texture and color every day, and is always exploring interesting techniques such as brioche knitting to use beautiful yarns in fun new ways.
