- Don't be afraid to learn Review by Mary
This book has an informative opening chapter, and it is easy to read. I have seen such beautiful hand painted yarns & patterns, but wasn't sure how to work with them. The book offers both chart and written patterns, which is a plus for me. The glossary not only describes knitting terms, it also shows how the yarn is worked on the needles for a variety of stitches. There are pictures of what the sock looks like when knitted, plus a close-up picture of the socks being worn.. Details abound! I would recommend this book to an intermediate knitter who is looking for "the next step" in knitting. An experienced knitter would surely get a lot of use out of this book. The patterns are beautiful, classy, and the most unique ones I have ever seen.
