Description
Join artist Jane LaFazio to learn her technique for creating a fabulous unique art quilt from cloth scraps. Jane guides viewers step-by-step through her spontaneous and creative process to make a one-of-a-kind artwork. The approach is ideal for beginner and intermediate quilters, and it’s a perfect introduction to art quilting for more traditional quilters. Techniques covered in the Workshop include: machine stitching (it’s a great opportunity to try out the embroidery stitches on your sewing machine); fusing; composition; layered appliqué; hand embroidery; and embellishment. The process is translatable to larger work, collaborative projects, and even to mixed media with paper. Jane shares ideas for displaying and finishing these pieces in the final chapter of the video. Prepare to learn a fresh, creative approach…you just can’t go wrong!
