Use this small tote as the perfect errand or everyday bag. The design makes use of every inch of a fat quarter, and the unlined bag uses a smart ribbon facing technique. You’ll wow with an edge decoration made by stitching felt motifs within the seam allowance.
FABRIC— Main: Fat quarter of print fabric (SeeNotes below) (shown: Tangerine)— One 7" × 7" piece of wool felt
NOTES— Seam allowances are 5/8" unlessotherwise noted.— If using a fat quarter, the easiestway to cut is as follows: Fold in halflengthwise and measure 14" fromone narrow edge. Cut across at the14" line. Press fold and then cutalong the fold to make two 14" × 11"pieces. The remaining piece is22" × 4". Cut this in half lengthwiseto make two 22" × 2" pieces.— Add interfacing for a stiffer bag.
