Danielle Fox is the editorial director of Beadwork and Jewelry
Stringing magazines. Prior to working at Interweave, she was an editor at
House Beautiful magazine in New York City and an editor at Colorado
Homes & Lifestyles magazine in Englewood, Colorado. She has done
freelance writing for The Denver Post, The Boulder Daily Camera, Natural
Home magazine, Footwear News, and Boulder magazine. Danielle
lives in Longmont, Colorado.
Melinda Barta is editor of Beadwork
magazine, associate editor of Stringing magazine, and author of three
books, including Hip to Stitch and best-selling Custom Cool
Jewelry. She teaches workshops at schools across the country, including
Interweave's Bead Fest shows, Penland School of Crafts, and John C. Campbell
Folk School and has assisted fiber artist Renie Breskin Adams at Haystack
Mountain School of Crafts and Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. She has made
appearances on PBS, Style, and DIY networks, including the shows
Scrapbooking, Uncommon Threads, and Craft Corner Death Match. A
true lover of all crafts, Melinda is known to have sewing, embroidery, knitting,
beadweaving, stringing, collage, scrapbooking, home improvement, and gardening
projects in the works all at the same time. When she's not creating something
with her hands, Melinda loves to spend her summers hiking and camping in the
mountains with her husband and their dog. In the winter, she skis every chance
she gets.
