In the Regency era, the mobcap was an everyday garment, often worn indoors in lieu of a bonnet. This updated version features a textured band and slouchy crown, giving this classic shape a more modern twist.

Madelinetosh Tosh Merino (100% superwash Merino; 210 yd [192 m]/100 g): Byzantine, 1 skein.
Yarn Weight:

Needles:
Size 8 (5.0 mm): 16" circular (cir) and set of 4 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions:
Stitch marker (m), tapestry needle.
Gauge:
18 sts and 24 rows = 4" in St st.
