— Follow manufacturer’s instructionsfor all fusibles.— The open background of the sampleswas left unquilted to allow thelinen’s natural texture to enhancethe architectural suggestion. Ifyou prefer a crisper look, fuselightweight interfacing to the wrongside of the linen before assemblingthe placemats or quilt outlined tileshapes in the background to continuethe tile pattern from the appliqués.— Linen tends to ravel, so the piecesare cut slightly larger and thentrimmed to size before binding.
