Using a Japanese cable and lace pattern to adorn the collar, Pamela Powers tailors Nora's Sweater to a fine dressmaker’s fit. Horizontal yoke pieces that grow out of sleeves, short-row-shaped backs and fronts, and neat slip-stitch pleats in worstedweight alpaca add up to beautifully fitted, flattering drape. Long cables draw the eye up and down, while lace lightens the overall effect.

Review by Sandra Larrabee

I made this sweater for myself last fall. I changed the collar to a cable pattern that matches the back of the sweater, and made it double so I don't have to hold it folded over as the model is doing in the photo. It fits perfectly and I always get a lot of compliments on it.
