This pattern begins with a length of I-cord and is worked from the top down in the contiguous method that has the look of a set-in sleeve with the ease of one-piece knitting. It features a cable-and-lace motif in panels down the sleeves and body of the coat.
Finished Size: 40 (44 1/2, 47 1/2, 51 1/2, 54, 57, 60)" bust circumference, snapped. Pelisse shown measures 40".
Yarn: Shibui Knits Merino Alpaca (50% baby alpaca, 50% Merino; 131 yd [120 m]/3 1/2 oz [100 g]): #2016 suit (MC), 18 (19, 20, 22, 23, 24, 25) skeins. Shibui Knits Silk Cloud (60% kid mohair, 40% silk; 330 yd [302 m]/7/8 oz [25 g]): #2016 suit (CC), 1 skein.
Yarn Weight:
Needles: Body and sleeves-size 8 (5 mm): 32" circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Collar and cuffs-size 6 (4 mm): straight and set of dpn. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); cable needle (cn); stitch holders; locking markers; tapestry needle
Gauge: 17 sts and 25 rows = 4" in St st with MC on larger needle.
