The designer can't think of a better convergence between folk art and western high fashion than this Paralelos Necklace from Peru. Using a looping method for creating beaded collars, the Saraguro Native Americans have developed an incredible diversity of designs, including the Palitos Necklace.
Required Materials: Jet bugles, seed beads, jump rings, spring clasp, beading thread, masking tape. See project for complete list.

Not very good pattern instuction Review by Frances

To much history on the necklace and not enough info on making it! She could have added some hints on how it is going to lay. Because I am on my 4th row and it still wants to bunch all up. Going to keeping going hoping that it will eventually want to fan out and lay flat. Also, doesn't give points on if you need a even number of beads divided by so many.
