Let a unique stone shine with this elegant and modern stone setting. Advance your skills as you expertly craft this pendant design that will show off your soldering, sawing, and drilling skills.
Required Materials:
  • 16 gauge sterling flat wire
  • wide x 4-6 inches long 20 gauge sterling sheet, dimension depends on the size of your stone
  • 20 gauge sterling flat wire for bail
  • 16 gauge sterling wire
  • One cabochon stone of your choice
HAND: Flat nose pliers, bracelet forming pliers, jeweler's saw and blades, scribe, center punch, drill (or flex-shaft), drill bit #55, burnisher, #2 hand file, #6 extra fine hand file, Sharpie marker (fine tip)
SOLDERING: Long nose pliers for holding pieces, Joyce Chen scissors, jeweler's torch, fire brick, annealing pan with pumice, quenching water, pickle pot, copper tongs, soldering picks, flux, medium and easy solder
FINISHING: Sanding blocks or sponges (various grits), 3M micro finish film (15 and 9 micron), liver of sulfur
OTHER: Eye protection, particle mask
