In this Spring/Summer issue of Quilting Arts we provide a banquet of floral scenery and symbolism. We invite you to marvel at the diverse representations of flowers recreated and embellished by our contributing authors - from Marie Alton's Melanie Rose and Nancy Eha's back-stitched beaded pansies to John Lafelhocz's adaptation of Monet's work. Perhaps reading Victoria Brown's article you will become instpired to create your own fabrics and floral images, or take flame to silk and create clusters of wisteria or grapes as Yvonne Porcella demonstrates. This issue is more than 20% larger then our first, and it is our intention that with it's increased size, it addresses the creative needs to all our readers, from crazy quilters to contemporary textile and clothing artists. Happy Stitching!
