Paints, inks, and crayons—they’re an integral part of the art quilter’s studio. This episode makes use of them all. The first segment features Pokey demonstrating gelatin monoprinting. Then, Julie Fei-Fan Balzer shows how to use creative masking and stenciling techniques with oil paint sticks to create a colorful journal cover. The last segment features Jeanie Sumrall-Ajero printing on fabric from the computer, then punching, layering, and stuffing it to create a 3-D ornament.
