The ubiquitous cool-weather layering piece, the down vest, is reinvented as a knit. Done with a double-knit technique, this piece is fully reversible to either the fuzzy SHALE or spongy FERN fabric.

Finished Size: X-Small (Small, Medium, Large, XL, 2X) to fit Bust: 34 (38, 43, 47, 52, 56)"/86.5 (96.5, 109, 119.5, 132, 142.5)cm. Length: 16.5 (17.5, 21.5, 24.5, 26.5, 27.5)"/42 (44.5, 54.5, 62, 67.5, 70)cm.
Yarn: Loop-d-Loop by Teva Durham Shale (35% mohair, 30% acrylic, 20% nylon, 15% viscose; 73 yd [66m]/50g): #09 blue, 4 (4, 6, 7, 9, 10) balls. Loop-d-Loop by Teva Durham Fern (70% wool, 30% nylon; 81 yd [73m]/50g): #06 china blue, 4 (4, 6, 7, 9, 10) balls.
Yarn weight: #5 - Bulky
Gauge: Visible on each side: 7 sts and 12 rows = 4" (10 cm) in Double Knit St (14 sts and 24 rows are actually knit) using #13 needle.
Needles: Size 13 & 10 (9 & 6mm) circulars, 29"/74cm long and cable needles. Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: Stitch holders, one yd/m snap tape (from Daytona Trim Co.), matching thread and sewing needle, yarn needle.
