Not enough information for the cost. Review by Sandra

This is a talk on garter possibilities. Very basic, not anything new to an experienced knitter. No pattern follow up for the items shown in the demo. The one shawl pattern given is one of the easiest techniques shown. The advertised no purl garter stitch in the round is a thirty second clip that does not work without a mess where you turn.

pro and con Review by Dagmar

My personal PRO's are: I find this video quite entertaining, everything is demonstrated clear and understandable.

My personal CON's: the "Beyond"-thing was way too short. I had expected somewhat more, especially on the pattern-side. The included pattern is a very basic shawl for beginners.

A little disappointed Review by TwoStrokes

This is not a how-to video per se, but rather an exploration into possible uses of garter stitch in different types of knitted articles.

What is missing from this video? The authors/actors describe many different ways that garter can change the gauge and dimension of projects, and use several garments and accessories to clarify their points. The video fails, however, to identify where one can find and download (with or without purchase) the patterns for those items so you can explore the techniques. Further, they illustrate several "charts" for various articles but fail to inform you where you can obtain those for further exploration.

These two failures are major because you can't see the patterns on or off a computer screen so you can better understand their construction techniques. That's the whole point if the video, isn't it?
