Required Materials:
  • ⅜" thick slab of copper in basalt or other copper ore
  • 2.5mm x 5mm sterling silver
  • grommets, 4.5mm ID
  • E6000 adhesive
  • Water
  • EQUIPMENT: Heavy duty bench-top drill press, high-speed Dremel drill press
  • DRILLING: Crystalite 11/16" x ¼" diamond core drill bit, 2.5mm straight-sided diamond drill bit, 3mm tapered cylinder diamond drill bit, 4mm rounded cylinder diamond drill bit, 4.5mm bullet diamond drill bit, Shallow plastic container, flat scrap of wood that fits container bottom
  • LAPIDARY: Cabbing machine with 220, 325, 600, 1200, and 3000 grit wheels, flat lap machine with felt disc for polishing, cerium oxide polish, bamboo chop sticks, nail or toothpick, 22 caliber rifle bore cleaning brush
