Description
Alternating yarns create an accordion-like fabric out of straight stockinette stitch: Light and airy mohair puffs away from a heavier merino blend.
Details

Finished Size: About 3 3⁄4" in diameter and 61⁄2" high, relaxed.
Yarn: ShibuiKnits Merino Kid (55% kid mohair, 45% merino; 218 yd [199 m]/ 100 g): #MK220 peony (magenta) and #MK1675 pagoda (red-orange), 1 skein each. ShibuiKnits Silk Cloud (60% kid mohair, 40% silk; 330 yd [302 m]/25 g): See pattern for full yarn listing. 
Yarn Weight: #3 - Light 
Needles: Sizes 6 (4 mm) and 10 (6 mm): set of 4 or 5 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge. 
Notions: Marker (m); tapestry needle; plastic canvas round (optional).  
Gauge: 20 sts and 28 rnds = 4" in St st with Merino Kid on smaller needles.
