Jenalia Moreno is an award-winning Houston Chronicle reporter whose colorful stories bring her subjects to life. Her travels to Argentina, Guatemala, Cuba and other Latin American nations resulted in touching articles about immigration, impoverished workers and international diplomacy. She’s interviewed everyone from presidents to street merchants. Her articles and videos about longshoremen, Spain’s olive oil industry and a drought won state and national awards. Jenalia spends her free time making documentaries and travel shows.
Producer
Nancy Sarnoff has spent the past 15 years as a business journalist in Houston. She covers real estate for the Houston Chronicle. While not herself a quilter, Nancy has many of her grandmother’s quilts, which were made by hand on a wooden frame in the basement of her small-town Ohio home. The fabrics she used were leftover scraps and the patterns were simple geometric shapes, dolls and ducks. When Nancy’s not working on Stitched, she writes and blogs full time for the Houston Chronicle and spends free time traveling and taking photographs. Her recent trips to Argentina and Russia produced some of her favorite work.
