Your drawing will advance to the next level with Rob's in depth lessons on technique, use of color and demonstrations with each lesson. Students will learn about master techniques, features through anatomy study and flesh hues. The class will open with a live webinar; then online lessons every week through text, images and video; and student interaction in the forums. There is an option to the take the class with critiques or without, everything else within the class is the same and given over the same time and online structure. You'll be able to take this class online in the privacy of your own home.
A high-speed internet connection and a separate phone line (for the webinar) are required. A detailed PDF will be emailed to you with easy instructions on how to prepare for your online class.
The class will kick off with a one hour live webinar on September 1, time to be announced, and it will continue with one lesson every week for the following five weeks at a total of six lessons. The lessons will be in text and image format via the website and can be read and practiced at any time of day from any computer with high speed access. For those taking the critique portion of the class, critiques will be set up by the instructor and given either through video or text depending on instructor.
The video footage shown here is from the artist's DVD produced and sold separately from this class. This is not footage from the class itself. We are sharing this sample of the artist in practice and teaching so that you can see his style and competency. If you would like to purchase a DVD by this artist, please visit the DVD section of the online store.

Single sheets of fine-quality drawing paper: Twinrocker "Yale" or "Calligraphy Cream" is idea but difficult to find. Canson Mi-Tientes white or ivory is readily available (make sure to use the smooth side). Paper should then be tinted using a watercolor wash (a soft ochre color). Optional: to bring out the best in the pencils, a diluted layer of sizing should be added after the watercolor dries. The sizing consists of 5 parts denatured alcohol to 1 part orange or amber shellac—these ingredients can be found in most hardware stores.
