Success with Colored Pencil with Janie Gildow (With Critique)

Success with Colored Pencil is a thorough class for the artist new to drawing, new to colored pencil, or anyone who wants to try a different medium. Janie carefully covers the aspects of choosing quality materials, application techniques, and color mixing. She gives both practice and projects to each lesson and ties the entire class into a finished still life at the end. This six week class begins with a live powerpoint webinar with Janie to introduce you to the class overview and start you on your first lesson. Then, there are five follow up lessons over the next five weeks and an opportunity to have two critiques of your work given by Janie. There is an option to the take the class with critiques or without, everything else within the class is the same and given over the same time and online structure. You'll be able to take this class online in the privacy of your own home.

A high-speed internet connection and a separate phone line (for the webinar) are required. A detailed PDF will be emailed to you with easy instructions on how to prepare for your online class.

The class will kick off with a one hour live webinar on September 1, time to be announced, and it will continue with one lesson every week for the following five weeks at a total of six lessons. The lessons will be in text and image format via the website and can be read and practiced at any time of day from any computer with high speed access. For those taking the critique portion of the class, critiques will be set up by the instructor and given either through video or text depending on instructor.
