Acknowledgements
Karen Michel is a mixed media artist. She lives in New York, where she runs a nonprofit art center for kids, the Creative Art Space for Kids Foundation, with her artist husband Carlo Thertus.
Along with sharing her love for the arts with children, she also teaches adult workshops throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Her books, paintings, and collages have been exhibited internationally and have been published in various books and magazines. She is the author of The Complete Guide to Altered Imagery: Mixed-Media Techniques for Collage, Altered Books, Artist Journals, and More.
