With layered strips of coordinating suede along the hem and sleeves, you can add a designer touch to any jacket. Finish it off with a suede facing on the lapel. Use this technique to accent a jacket you’re sewing from scratch or to update a store-bought jacket.

Fabric Requirements:

— Repurposed wool jacket or medium-weight wool fabric in yardage indicated on your selected pattern envelope (shown: brown, green, and taupe plaid)

— Soft faux suede in yardage determined by measuring your selected pattern (see Notes; shown: taupe for the front and back facings and 2 strips [top and bottom] on the cuffs; light brown was used for the middle strip on cuffs and hem)
