Inspired by a vintage thread crochet doily, the motifs of the yoke on this seamless, stretchy crochet tunic circle the shoulders and draw the eye to your face while providing a framework for the lace mesh body that floats to tunic length. The deep, gently ruffled trim creates a roomy, flared fit around the hip and gives the hem the weight it needs to sway with your every step.

Finished Size: 42 (45, 561⁄4)" bust circumference. Garment shown measures 42.

Yarn: Prism Yarn Tencel Tape (100% tencel; 120 yd [110 m]/2 oz [57 g]; CYCA #3): denali, 4 (5, 6) skeins.

Needles: Hook Size: H/8 (5 mm) for size 42"; I/9 (5.5mm) for sizes 45 (561⁄4)". Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Gauge: With H/8 (5 mm) hook, 14 Fsc = 4" (10 cm). Motif (before assembly) = 5" height (stem to point); 51⁄2" wide. In mesh stitch of body: 2 reps of [ch 8, (sc, ch 3, sc)] = 31⁄2"; 4 rnds = 4". See pattern for complete details.
