This felted wool double-doll was inspired by a cotton rag doll that the designer played with as a child. Each of the bodies is worked from the waist up to the top of head, then stitches are picked up for the arms, which are worked downward, to end with the hands. The skirt is worked separately from the waist down. Face and hair details are added, then the two dolls are sewn together and felted. To personalize the dolls, change the colors of the eyes, hair, and skin.
