The Peter Pan collar has been ubiquitous in read-to-wear collections this year. Here, Ruthie Nussbaum updates the classic further with variegated yarn and a pop of contrasting color in this knitted sweater.
Finished Size: 32 1/2 (36 1/2, 40, 45, 48 1/2) bust circumference. Pullover shown measures 32 1/2".
Yarn: Madelinetosh Tosh Sock (100% superwash merino wool; 395 yd [361 m]/4 oz [113 g]): badlands (MC), 2 (3, 3, 4, 4) skeins; alizarin (CC), 1 skein.
Yarn Weight: #2 - Fine
Needles: Body-size 4 (3.5 mm). Ribbing and collar-size 2 (2.75 mm): 24" circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); stitch holders; tapestry needle; five 1/2" buttons.
Gauge: 26 sts and 35 rows = 4" in St st on larger needles.

I think this pattern will be easy to follow. I haven't started working on it yet because I plan to alter it to custom fit it for myself, and I'm still learning about that. There will certainly be adaptations for the straight-up-and-down aspect of this "fitted" sweater since straight up and down is NOT fitted on me! I really appreciate the fact that the pattern options go large enough for me, as some patterns stop below the average American woman's size (which is 16). Looking forward to working on this.
