- Interesting for a new weaver, but e-book grossly overpriced. Review by Caroline
For a new weaver, this is an interesting sampler collection, and with this book and the free Interweave how to weave instructions, you will be up and creating in no time. This represents good value for money when compared to other new weaver instruction books. It has an appendix section on direct warping and yarn estimation, using a warping board and hemstitching to finish off. There are different fulling and felting techniques, and the new weaver will work with different weight yarns and fancy yarns.
However, for an experienced weaver, there is very little to offer that I have not seen in other Interweave books and magazines. It rather resembles a compilation and I know that the authors are well respected weavers in their own right, so was disappointed when seeing there were only 3 or 4 interesting patterns out of 26. The rest are rather ho-hum. I bought this on pre-order when it was put out at 50% off, so cannot complain about the price - you get what you pay for, and its on a par with the regular $10 e-books. Its not worth the full price, either as a download or the print version.
Interweave, your standards are slipping badly! Could do so much better, the excitement has gone.

- Cost Review by BeM
Must agree - eBook should be 20 to 30 % less; Yes I know - infrastructure costs, but still, no paper, no printing, no shipping, no staff support...... should be less costly
says its in stock but still on pre-order?
